Remtek Systems is excited to share its latest business venture; Remtek Workplace, specialist ergonomics equipment providers.
This new arm of the business is in high demand and explores how we can ensure that students, employees and home workers have a working environment that is as comfortable as possible.
Instead of expecting people to adapt to a design that forces them to work in an uncomfortable, stressful or dangerous way, ergonomists and human factors specialists try to understand how a product, workplace or system can be designed to suit the people who need to use it.
Our specialist, ergonomics team is leading the way with expert assessments followed by bespoke advice and support.
Chris Barlow who heads up our ergonomics team explained “Ergonomics is a huge consideration for universities and employers. Helping students and employees to feel comfortable when working or studying ensures that they can achieve maximum productivity.
Often, we see that people become so uncomfortable when sitting at their desk for long periods of time that they must take time off to recover. Another issue is that people have been issued the wrong ergonomics equipment or purchased an item without a full assessment, which can enhance injuries or pain rather than acting as an aid.
Our thorough assessments are completely unique and ensure that by reviewing someone’s working environment in detail we can recommend the most suitable item to support them.”
Remtek Systems Director, John Farrar added “We want to serve the students in the DSA industry that we support in every way that we can. Although we have been offering a great ergonomics service for some time and had much success, we have never actively promoted our offering. We are excited to show how we can further help students with their studies and are equally excited to expand our presence in a commercial marketplace.”
Supporting Students
We have been leading the industry and supporting students with their ergonomics equipment for over 20 years now. Chris and his dedicated team offer professional ergonomic assessments.
Our latest ergonomics’ procedures were developed to help individuals to feel at ease with an assessment during the pandemic.
One student, Lisa commented:
“You have helped me realise I can work with much less discomfort and pain and you have overcome supply challenges to obtain the right equipment for me. Thank you for all of your time and expertise.” Lisa Coates
