Remtek Systems are proud to be leading on quality and driving best practice across the AT industry, especially in AT training.
The SLC Tender for AT Equipment and Training (which was officially abandoned) gave us the ability to rethink our service delivery and how we could improve the process for students.
Our original tender submission outlines our ambitious offering and commitment to students and their outcomes.
During the tender process we focused on how we could best support student outcomes through our services; looking at ways we could either improve these or make them more efficient.
Every activity we undertake has the individual student at the centre of the process and every service is delivered at the convenience of the student, putting them first.
Our promise is the delivery of an integrated and seamless business system that enables students to receive AT training and support in the smoothest possible way.
Why Remtek Are Leading The Way in AT Training:
We’ve stated before that it is recognised in the sector that student experience of DSA Services, provided by Remtek, is the best. Prior to DSA-QAG closing, we represented over 92% of all reviews by students of ATSP services.
This equated to over 2400 “5 Star” reviews. We have a consistent and proven approach that ensures we deliver on our promises.
Remtek Business Developments:
Perhaps the most exciting business development that came with the tender was that it enabled us to forge business alliances with other sector leaders. These strategic alliances ensure that we have the national scalability to deliver, without compromising quality.
We successfully partnered with organisations who are well known amongst our community and have national reach. These organisations were carefully handpicked
Our partners are recognised as providing the best training services available in the DSA and strengthen our offering to the student.
Why This is Important: The Flaws in The Current Service:
Evidence indicates that students can find it difficult to navigate the system and enable their services, and not just for the technology aspects.
Our proposal included a highly integrated solution and although the tender is not currently on the table, we are still looking to implement the improved business process to further build on our quality offering.
System Improvements: What would this improved system offer to students?
ATSP’s are often the student’s first point of call after receiving the DSA-2. Upon our receipt of the DSA-2 from the student we would offer to contact all relevant DSA parties on their behalf. This would take away a lot of stress, confusion and administration for the student
System Improvements: What would this improved system offer Assessment Centres and Assessors?
For Assessment Centres and Assessors, this will
- result in less queries from students about their DSA and what to do next
- create more certainty that what gets recommended in the report, and subsequently approved, is implemented and earlier on (providing benefits to the student too)
Improving AT Training:
Our primary business objective is to ensure that students take up their AT training and get the most out of their AT.
We are aiming to reverse the assumption that only 20% of AT training assessed is taken.
Remtek, and our partners, have proven statistics that indicate when we are provided with the necessary information, such as the DSA-2, the take up and successful completion of the training is far higher.
